Sign up to be a Volunteer

Follow these instructions to register as a volunteer with New Home Little League.

Before you begin, take a picture of your driver's license and store it on the device you will use to register.

Failure to complete ALL required step will prevent you from volunteering with New Home Little League.

Step 1: Register with New Home Little League

On your computer or mobile device, login or create an account on our website.

Once logged into the Sports Connect site, go to My Account, select the menu on the left, and click Volunteer.

For coaches, select the division you are interested and Head Coach or Assistant Coach option and continue.

For non-coaches, select the General Volunteer option and continue.

The next page will now provide several positions where you can select a role:

  • Concession Stand Helper
  • Plate Umpire
  • Field Umpire
  • Field Setup
  • Facility Maintenance
  • Board Member


Once selected, enter the requested information and at the bottom of the page upload your Drivers License.
Note: It is easiest to complete the process if the picture has been taken before starting.

After submitting your application, our Safety Officer will request a formal background check from JDP.

Step 2: Complete JDP Background Check

Once the Safety Officer submits your application for a background check, you will receive an email from NEW HOME LITTLE LEAGUE <[email protected]> with a subject "NEW HOME LITTLE LEAGUE Background Questionnaire Notification".

If you do not receive this email within 72 hours, check your spam mail. If not found, contact the league safety officer <[email protected]>.

Click on the link in the email to begin your background check.

Once you complete the background check, you will receive a confirmation email with a file number.

Step 3: Complete Abuse Awareness Course

Little League is committed to keeping our youth safe by requiring additional training beginning in 2024. You can find more information about the SafeSport program on their website.

ALL volunteers are required to complete the Little League Abuse Awareness training. Upon completion, email the certificate of completion to the league safety officer <[email protected]>.

3. Download Certificate

Step 4: Complete Diamond Leader Training (ALL COACHES)

To be eligible to be a head or assistant coach for New Home Little League, volunteers much complete the Diamond Leader training before the coaches interview (see calendar). This is a free training from Little League International and is mandatory for all tournament coaches.

Once the training is completed, email a copy of the completion certificate to the league president <[email protected]> and the league safety officer <[email protected]>.

THIS IS REQUIRED ONLY ONCE FOR A COACH. IT APPLIES YEAR-OVER-YEAR.
